Situated in a tranquil valley 1km from Emerald village in the lovely Dandenong Ranges of the Yarra Valley & Cardinia Shires. Fernglade Homestead has provided guests with quality hosted accommodation in Emerald for twenty years. "Now a private residence"
Fernglade is now a private residence and no longer operating as an accommodation provider for the region. It has been a joy and honor to have continued the herritage of offering stays at the homestead. The time has come for us to remodel the homestead, grounds and gardens. The complexity of some of these which include restoration of the herritage Olive Tin House, Astronomy Observatory, optical collimation laboratory, knot garden and an expanded live steam railway. In order to facilitate these we are unable to offer accommodation during this time.

The unique homestead is set in three acres of landscaped and forest gardens offering a quiet retreat. Peaceful gardens have hidden treasures of a live steam Ride on Railway, a private Astronomy Observatory, secluded creek walk and friendly sheep.

SUITES
Fernglade Homestead has four private open plan studio-apartment suites.
Each suite is equipped with everything needed for a short break.
​
We offer Spa suites (2 adults) for a romantic couple escape and Family suites (4 plus infant) to enjoy precious time together.

We include your choice of a full cooked or continental style breakfast served to your your suite.

We offer 3 acres of picturesque garden to explore, which includes a 5-inch gauge ride on railway, creek picnic walk and observatory.

Please ask at time of booking if you wish an early check in or late check out. Due to preceding or follow on bookings we are not always able to provide this.
Our Sheep
For those special family moments Fernglade has child friendly sheep. Guests can enjoy feeding and petting these affectionate animals.

We provide full in suite and garden restaurant service. Please contact us when booking for our current menu and to take advantage of this service.
